During plug insertion, plug pins make contact with socket
pins (1).
Contacts remain closed and the signal flow has
not change.
This operation prevent signal
interruption (mandatory for current transformers).
When the plug is fully inserted in the socket, inner mobile con
-
tacts (2) are pushed down by plug’s plastic leads (3) and
the
four circuits are opened simultaneously
. Signals are derived
into the plug towards the test set without
interruption of continuity.
During preparation phase, the plug 4 test leads (1-2-3-4: cur
-
rent transformer side)
have been short-circuited
externally (4).
When the plug is fully inserted in the socket,
the current
transformer is automatically short-circuited
and
current injection (or equipment change) can be done
on the equipment side (5).

Description
Short-circuited type contacts for measurement, calibration and distribution applications.
Make before break principle:
• The circuit is automatically shorted with the insertion of the plug.
• The circuit closes automatically when the plug is removed.
• This system guarantees a complete safety.
• By convention, green coding is for current circuit.
