【选型】如何区分和选择功率电感两种额定电流Isat、Irms?
在DCDC转换器中,功率电感是非常重要的一个元件。选择合适的电感,是获得较高效率的关键原因之一。我们在选择功率电感时,常常考虑感值,电流,直流电阻等参数。其中关键的额定电流有两种,它们有什么差异,又该如何选择呢?
通常我们以Isat和Irms作为标记,来区分两种额定电流,工程师们也会经常遇到这两个技术参数。如果,将两者电流混淆,会造成严重的电路问题。
Isat是指电感的饱和电流,它是以电感值的下降程度为指标的额定电流,超出该范围使用时,可能会由于纹波电流增加而导致IC控制不稳。大部分电感厂商一般取电感值下降到20%的电流为Isat,也有少量厂商设为下降30%或者10%,所以选型时要特别注意这一点.此外,根据电感磁路构造的不同,磁饱和的倾向(即电感值的下降倾向)也有所不同。
Irms是指电感产品的应用额定电流,也称为温升电流,即产品应用时,表面达到一定温度时所对应的DC电流。业界大部分厂家一般认为是电感产品自我温升温度不超过40度时的电流。
知道了上述两个电流的差异后,我们以LAIRD MGV系列功率电感为例,假如需要一个4.7Uh,0402封装,饱和电流3A,温升电流2A的功率电感。我们先看MGV0402系列:
根据上面的参数和理解的电流,显然可以选定MGV04024R7M-10型号,满足需要的参数要求。另外,Laird功率电感MGV全系列最小尺寸0201,宽阻抗范围10-3000Ω,额定电流高达75A,同品质价格低10%,有其他参数要求的工程师们也可以多多关注。
