全球领先的半导体解决方案供应商瑞萨电子株式会社(TSE:6723)宣布推出公司最新研发的R-Car T2片上系统(SoC)。该SoC专用于基于以太网AVB技术的车载摄像网络,进一步使广受欢迎的R-Car系列产品在信息娱乐系统、仪表盘和ADAS(先进驾驶辅助系统)方面的应用得以完善。全新的R-Car T2可通过多个系统传输高分辨率的摄像视频,同时保持低延迟的实时性能。这些功能对于“全景”监控和障碍物探测应用起到关键的作用,能够有效保证安全驾驶。

车载摄像头最初用于后视功能和停车辅助,后来拓展到360度“全景环视”功能,系统的可视范围扩大至环绕汽车的每个方向,提高了驾驶的安全性。为了进一步优化安全性,车载摄像视频现在也用于驾驶辅助系统的制动、转向和障碍物探测警报(如改变车道时)。这些复杂系统要求更高的处理性能,以对应更广范围的图像识别目标,和更高像素数的多个摄像头所增加的处理负载。以太网AVB可同时保证带宽和多个摄像头同步,带有一个能配置更多摄像头并可灵活升级的系统。将来,以太网AVB有望成为汽车高速网络的主流技术。
R-Car T2可支持多标准,包括IEEE 802.1AS、IEEE802.1Qav、IEEE802.1Qat和IEEE1722标准。R-Car T2 SoC中内置了由瑞萨电子自主研发的H.264编码器,可进行低延迟压缩,同时进行实时传输高品质的高清视频(1280×960)。视频以被压缩至1毫秒以内(千分之一秒)的极低延迟通过车载系统网络传输到多个系统。高品质的实时传输保证了高度的安全性,可与先进驾驶辅助系统快速共享摄像头画面。
此前,以太网作为一种易于使用的网络标准而普及,实现了视频向多个系统的传输。由于UTP电缆支持的最大带宽为100 Mbps,因此必须对视频进行压缩,而延迟也成为了驾驶安全辅助系统等应用所面临的一个问题。如今,瑞萨电子已将延迟时间成功缩短至1毫秒以内,这相当于以100公里/小时的速度行驶2.8厘米距离的时间,从而实现了近乎实时的数据传输,不仅满足了驾驶安全辅助系统的应用需求,也可从当前的LVDS系统切换到以太网。此外,便捷的网络支持也使其能够实现多屏显示功能,并构建提供具有卓越安全性和舒适性的车载信息系统。
R-Car T2 SoC的主要特性:
(1) 符合关于在多屏共享车载摄像头视频的四项以太网AVB标准
此前,在采用模拟或LVDS信号传输的摄像头系统中,所有的视频处理被点对点地集中在一个处理设备(如导航系统或仪表板)中。但有了以太网AVB,来自多个摄像头的视频信号可平行分配到多个处理设备上。这意味着摄像头拍摄的视频可被多个显示器以及驾驶辅助系统等使用。此外,它还能使摄像头网络根据不同的车辆等级或选项包进行灵活配置,例如,增加摄像头的数量或添加显示器。
此外,以太网AVB标准还支持使用通过输电线路供应电力的以太网供电(PoE),从而减少或省却了为单个模块提供独立电源或专用电缆的麻烦。
(2) 通过视频识别实现优质高清视频的低延迟传输,从而提升了汽车的整体价值
内置的超低延迟H.264编码器由瑞萨电子独家开发,采用以太网AVB标准,可对数字高清信号进行出色的实时传输。这不仅提高了摄像头的视频质量,加强了可视度,同时也有助于避免驾驶员因疏忽而造成事故,例如,其实时性能更好地满足了驾驶辅助系统在检测行人和障碍物方面的安全性要求。
(3) 超低功耗且尺寸小巧,适用于更高能效且设计紧凑的摄像头模块
R-Car T2的功耗低达40 mW(典型值),使您无需担心具有防潮和防尘设计的密封摄像头模块会出现发热问题。此外,其外观小巧,仅为6平方毫米,可将其设计进极为紧凑的摄像头模块中,为您提供自由灵活的设计空间。
