Smart homes have developed very rapidly in recent years. At present, smart home products include smart lighting, smart speakers, smart sockets, smart switches, and other smart devices. In the smart home, WiFi technology plays a vital role.

With the characteristics of fast transmission speed and high performance, the WIFI Module is the best choice for the smart home. In response to the demand for smart sockets, SKYLAB has launched the ESP8266 WIFI module WG219.

What Is ESP8266 WIFI Module?

ESP8266 series wireless module is a cost-effective WIFI SOC module. It supports the standard IEEE802.11b/g/n protocol and has a built-in complete TCP/IP protocol stack. Users can use WiFi modules to add networking capabilities to existing devices or build standalone network controllers.

WG219 is a smart socket WiFi module launched by SKYLAB. Users can use it in IoT/Smart Home. It is based on the esp8266 chip square and is very small in size.

How to implement a smart socket based on esp8266 WiFi?On the basis of the ordinary socket, an ESP8266 WIFI module WG219 is implanted. In addition, it is equipped with a 3.3V switching power supply module and relay module. It can complete the intelligentization of ordinary sockets and expand the WiFi function. Users can use the network to control the WiFi smart socket on the mobile app.
