TVS瞬态抑制二极管是一种新型高效电路保护元器件,是在齐纳二极管工艺基础上发明。业内对TVS瞬态抑制二极管的叫法有很多,TVS、TVS管、瞬态电压抑制二极管、瞬态抑制二极管、瞬变电压抑制二极管、瞬变抑制二极管、瞬态二极管、瞬变二极管等等。TVS二极管有单双向之分,其电路符号和齐纳二极管相同,但是其工作原理与齐纳二极管是有差异的。本文将浅析TVS瞬态抑制二极管的主要参数哪些?
一、TVS瞬态抑制二极管的主要参数
1、VBR:Reverse Breakdown Voltage(反向崩溃电压即击穿电压)
定义:当TVS流过规定的1mA电流(IR)时,测德TVS两极间的电压VBR是TVS最小的雪崩电压。25℃时,在这个电压之前,TVS是不导通的,当瞬态电压超过VBR,瞬态电压抑制二极管便产生崩溃把瞬态电压抑制在某个水平,提供瞬态电流一个超低电阻通路,让瞬态电流透过瞬态电压抑制二极管被引开,避开被保护元件。
2、IR:Reverse Leakage Current(反向漏电电流)
当最大反向工作电压施加到TVS上时,TVS管有一个漏电流IR,一般都会有10-100μA的反向漏电电流。当TVS用于高阻抗电路时,这个漏电流是一个重要的参数。
3、VRWM:最大反向工作电压(Reverse Stand-off Voltage:可承受的反向电压)是器件反向工作时,在规定的IR下,器件两端的电压值。此时二极管为不导通之状态,通常VRWM=(0.8~0.9)VBR。使用时,应使VRWM不低于被保护器件或线路的正常工作电压。
4、VC(max):最大箝位电压(TVS diode Clamping Voltage:抑制电压)
在脉冲峰值电流Ipp作用下,器件两端的最大电压值称为最大箝位电压。使用时,应使VC(max)不高于被保护器件的最大允许安全电压。最大箝位电压与击穿电压之比称为箝为系数。即:箝位系数=VC(max)/VBR一般箝位系数为1.3左右。
5、Cj:TVS diodeJunction Capacitance(瞬态二极管的电容值)
TVS的电容由硅片的面积和偏置电压来决定,电容在零偏情况下,随偏置电压的增加,该电容值呈下降趋势。电容的大小会影响TVS器件的响应时间。瞬态电压抑制二极管的电容值越大对电路的干扰越大,形成噪音越大或衰减讯号强度越大,对于数据/讯号频率越高的回路,电容值不大于10pF。
6、IPP:最大的峰值脉冲电流。
在反向工作时,在规定的脉冲条件下,器件允许通过的最大脉冲峰值电流。
7、PPR:反向脉冲峰值功率。
TVS的PPR取决于脉冲峰值电流IPP和最大箝位电压VC,除此以外,还和脉冲波形、脉冲时间及环境温度有关。
二、TVS瞬态抑制二极管的作用
那么,TVS瞬态抑制二极管的作用是什么呢?了解其作用之前,先来看看TVS瞬态抑制二极管工作原理。当TVS瞬态抑制二极管的两端经受瞬间高能量冲击时,它以PS秒级的速度把两端间的阻抗值由高阻抗变为低阻抗,以吸收一个瞬间大电流,把它的两端电压箝制在一个预定的数值上,从而保护后面的精密元器件不受瞬态高压尖峰脉冲的冲击。从TVS瞬态抑制二极管的工作原理可以看出,TVS瞬态抑制二极管的作用就是浪涌保护。
