【选型】半导体放电管的优点和选型指导
半导体过压保护器是根据可控硅原理采用离子注入技术生产的一种新型保护器件,具有精确导通、快速响应(响应时间为ns级)、浪涌吸收能力较强、双向对称、可靠性高等特点。由于其浪涌通流能力较同尺寸的TVS管强,可在无源电路中代替TVS管使用。但它的导通特性接近于短路,不能直接用于有源电路中,在这样的电路中使用时必须加限流元件,使其续流小于最小维持电流。半导体过压保护器有贴装式、直插式和轴向引线式三种封装形式。
半导体放电管优点:
1、击穿前相当于开路,绝缘电阻很大,漏电流很小;
2、具有双向对称特性;
3、响应速度很快,为ns级;
4、击穿电压一致性好。
半导体放电管缺点:
1、相对于陶瓷放电管通流量较小,只有几百A;
2、击穿电压只有若干特定值;
3、电容较大,有几十至几百pF。
半导体放电管的运用领域:
1、RS232/RS422/RS485 分界面卡
2、XDSL 和ISDN、HDSL 传输设备
3、用户前端设备,如:电话、调制解调器等
4、Central office line cards
5、T1/E1
6、PBX 和其它交换设备
半导体放电管的选型:
在选用TSS时,一般应遵循以下原则:
1、截止电压VDRM的选取:截止电压必须大于被保护的电路的最大工作电压;
2、转折电压VBO的选取:转折电压必须小于设备能承受的最大瞬态峰值电压;
3、维持电流IH的选取:维持电流必须大于设备的工作电流和短路电流;
4、寄生电容C的选取:寄生电容根据电路所允许的插入损耗或信号传输的频率选择;
5、浪涌通流的选取:浪涌电流的选择根据电路或浪涌测试标准要求进行不同等级的选择。
