【经验】NTC功率型热敏电阻计算与选型
在电子产品发展道路上,高可靠性、高效节能是其关键点,电源是电子产品的重要组成要素,在设计过程中,设计人员要多角度巧妙利用热敏电阻型浪涌抑制器,促使设计的电子产品电源具有较高的可靠性, 最大化的提高电源的运行效率,使电源能够以长寿命的工作是主要的核心,我们这里主要讲一下关于硕凯电子NTC的选型。
为什么要选用热敏电阻来进行浪涌抑制呢?我们探讨一下最根本的原因,电子产品开机上电的过程中,开机瞬间电压不会突变,然后前级滤波电容的电流确实可以突变的,产品设计人员可以根据相关模型,构建合理化方程,计算出电子产品的最初电流值,也就是滤波电容 出现短路故障之后的电流数值,该故障电流被称之为输入浪涌电流。如果最初电流值没有得到有效的抑制,那么电源前级整流桥的寿命和电容的寿命将会大大的缩短,输入电源电压大会出现故障,导致其不在规定范围内。在此基础上,输入电源相同的动力设备很容易出现掉电现象,电源后级负载及其周围的其他设备正常运行也会受到不同程度的干扰,导致电子产品整体性能不断降低,维护成本,产品迭代加快,会降低产品的效益。
图一电子产品电源部分的简化电路C1是与负载并联的滤波电容,假设前级输入电阻(包含整流桥和电容滤波器)为1Ω,如果电源开机波形正好是90°相位,则有开机瞬间浪涌电的峰值为I=220*1.414/1等于311A。
浪涌电流的抑制,限制浪涌电流的方法有很多,一般中小功率电源采用NTC热敏电阻的方式限制浪涌开机电流,图2 是一个双输入示意图,NTC热敏电阻,即负温度系数敏电阻,其特性是电阻值随着温度升高而呈非线性的下降。NTC在应用上一般分为测温热敏电阻(用于过温保护)和功率型敏电阻,用于抑制浪涌的NTC热敏电阻指的是功率型热敏电阻:

选择热敏电阻位置的时候,当电压是110Vac时候可以在R3和R4或者R1和R2各放置一个热敏电阻,当电压只有220V时候,只需在R3或者R1位置放置一个即可。
NTC热敏电阻电阻的选型。一般的话220v 输入电压的选择的话,有I=220*1.414/(1+10)=28A,当热敏电阻阻值选择的是10Ω的时候,开机瞬间浪涌电流降低了10倍。由此可见热敏电阻的电阻阻值大小是和浪涌电流的大小相关的。
热敏电阻型号选型是个滤波电容相关的,对于一个实际的热敏电阻来说,能够承受的最大能量实际上已经被电阻的形状,材料,准确的是电容所限制。滤波电容的大小,已经决定了热敏电阻的大小,热敏电阻的产品规范一般已经定义了220Vac时候的最大的容值了,E=1/2CV²,根据公式可以看出介入的电压和容值是成反比的。假设某条件下最大额定电压为420Vac应用,最大容值为200uF。则有能量公式可以计算出实际的等效容值应为200*(420²/220²)。可以算出在220V电压下,实际的电容要大于729uF型号即可。
在电源设计中热敏电阻是必不可少的选项,本文简单的介绍了热敏电阻选型的关键要素,电阻实际的应用温度,和电流的最大选择,不是本文考虑的方向,暂时不做涉及,如果谁有更好的方案我们可以一起探讨。

NTC is a negative temperature thermistor, whose principle is that the resistance value decreases as the temperature rises.
