【应用】顺络电子SDVL-KA系列压敏电阻在AC LED照明的过压过流防护方案
LED光源作为绿色、节能、省电、长寿命的第四代照明灯具被广泛使用,目前LED光源是低电压(2-3.6V)、大电流(200-1500mA)工作的半导体器件,必须提供合适的直流电才能正常发光,由于我们日常照明使用的电源是高压交流(AC 100~230V),所以必须使用降压技术来获得较低的电压,常用的是变压器或开关电源降压,将交流(AC)变换成直流(DC),再变换成直流恒流源,才能促使LED光源发光。然而,DC LED在交流、直流之间转换时约有15%~30%的电力损耗,系统效率很难做到90%以上,而且对于空间十分有限的LED灯具,很难安置降压模块(变压器+整流+恒流源),如果能用交流(AC)直接驱动LED光源发光,系统应用技术方案将大大简化,效率也可轻松提升。
技术背景
2005年韩国首尔半导体推出全球第一款用交流市电直接驱动的AC LED,我国台湾地区的工业技术研究院很快实现了AC LED的产业化生产,并在芯片技术和封装技术上有重大创新,发明了“低热阻立体导热插拔封装技术”,于2008年9月,获得美国R&D 100 Awards国际大奖。AC LED的发明应用,颠覆了传统DC LED的照明应用方案,是LED发展史上的一次重大突破。
传统LED都是以直流电作为驱动,称为DC LED。AC LED 是以交流电作为驱动,不必进行AC-DC转换,也不需要DC-DC降压式恒流源驱动电路,在照明灯具设计上,体积及重量都能较一般DC LED灯具更有优势。以下分别列出了两者驱动电路的框图:

另外,在LED驱动电源电路中势必免不了受到线路浪涌的影响,此时就需要一个合适的浪涌防护方案。

AC 端必须有滤波电容、变压器,过压防护一般使用引线式压敏电阻。
② AC LED保护线路设计
保护线路取消了滤波电容、变压器,但必须设计压敏电阻,普遍使用片式压敏电阻。
AC LED因电路简单,成本很低,体积小,将是LED照明设计的发展方向。
