【选型】工作电流仅0.8μA的低电压检测器R3111X系列,轻松应对超声波计量表应用的供电烦恼
超声波流量表计,包括超声波水表、超声波热表、超声波气表,运用超声波时差原理,采用工业级电子元器件制造而成的全电子流量表计。其原理框图如图1所示,利用一对超声波换能器的相向交替(或同时)收发超声波,通过检测超声波在介质中顺流和逆流的传播时间差,来间接测量流体的流速,再通过流速来计算流体的流量。
与传统机械式流量表计相比较,超声波流量表计具有非常重要的优势:精度高、可靠性好、量程比宽、寿命长、无活动部件、可任意角度安装、更换非常灵活等。

但是,对于全电子智能流量表计的应用,通常采用电池供电,且要求电池至少使用6年以上。因此,这对整个系统的功耗提出了非常苛刻的要求,也一直制约着超声波流量表计的发展。随着超低功耗的MCU和超低功耗的超声波专用测量芯片的诞生,新的超低功耗的超声波流量表计解决方案,成功解决了功耗的问题,满足了客户的要求。然而,随着无线集中抄表系统的兴起,功耗问题又面临着严峻的考验。无线模组不仅增加了功耗,而且,由于通信距离或穿墙数的不同,射频发射功率不同了,每个流量表计单元的功耗也不同了,导致了电池使用寿命的不同。原来统一更换电池的方法就不怎么可取了。
那么有无办法做到物尽所用呢?答案是肯定的。我们可以通过检测电池电压的方法,当电池电压低于某个电压值时,告警,通知系统电池电压偏低,该换电池了。这样就可以根据实际的电池使用寿命,来替换电池,一来可节省成本,二来可避免电池电压过低,导致流量表计的失效而错报漏报。
电压检测,有多种方法可实现。一种方法是利用CPU本身的AD转换来做电压检测,但其功耗偏大,不能时时检测,需要设置检测周期。若检测周期设置长了,功耗是小了,但容易出现漏检,检测周期设置短了,功耗又偏大了,因此,不够理想。另一种方法是利用专门的电压检测芯片来做电压检测,一旦电压低于某个电压门限,就告警提示。
本文推荐NISSHINBO(原理光微电子)的R3111X系列低电压检测器,它是基于CMOS工艺的超低功耗的高精度门限电压检测器。包括电压参考单元、比较器、设置检测门限的分压电阻、磁滞电路和输出驱动,其高精度检测门限是内部固定的,无需外部调整。其特点是:工作电流仅0.8μA,超低功耗,工作电压范围0.7V to 10.0V,门限检测电压0.9V to 6.0V (0.1V steps)的系列可选择,门限检测精度±2.0%,输出类型有N沟道OD“L”(R3111xxxxA系列)、N沟道OD“H”(R3111XXXXB系列)和CMOS输出(R3111XXXXC系列),封装有SON1612-6、SC-82AB、SC-88A、SOT-23-3、SOT-23-5、SOT-89、TO-92。

图8是我们建议采用的窗口式电压检测方案,其优点是可以设置两个低电压门限值,合成低电压检测窗口。一旦检测到电压进入第一个门限值,黄色告警,提示电池电压偏低;一旦检测到电压进入第二个门限值,红色告警,提示电池电量快用完了,请尽快更换。
