MTA‘s Partnership with Ashok Leyland for A Variety of Electrical Products for Trucks and Buses

MTA's partnership with Ashok Leyland, a leading manufacturer of both trucks and buses in India, began about 3 years ago. The R&D team of MTA's site in India, together with the sales force, developed different products, to be then manufactured in MTA's Pune plant, and mounted near the battery, in 3 different combinations for ICV Trucks, Electric Buses, and City Buses of the Company. The customer started to use MTA's 5-way frame, with dedicated cover and locks and different compositions of fuse/relay modules, mounted in the cabin of its City Buses.

Thanks to the reliability, robustness, and cost-effectiveness of the product, MTA was selected for the development of another, a specific BDU, which accommodates one MegaVal fuse and a die cast battery terminal, for Ashok Leyland Coaches. The product, supplied with a cover tethered to the body, has very compact dimensions, which make it versatile and easy to place.

For their own trucks, on the other hand, Ashok Leyland chose a “new generation” of MegaVal and MidiVal fuse holders, which can be used both stand-alone or clipped together to build different BDUs, offering numerous combinations possibilities for a wide range of applications.

MTA Developed Two 48V Electrical Distribution Centers for Ghibli Hybrid

For the first hybrid in its history, the Ghibli Hybrid, Maserati has created an innovative powertrain that combines a combustion engine, a 4-cylinder 2.0 turbo, with a 48V alternator and an additional eBooster. Ghibli Hybrid therefore represents a unique solution in its segment, for which the house of the trident has decided to rely on MTA. MTA have in fact developed two 48V electrical distribution centers, intended for the protection of some of the main appliances.

Citroën Ami : a 100% Electric Vehicle for New Mobility a 48V Electric Unit Which Allows the Electric Motor to Be Powered

To Citroӫn Ami, MTA supplies a 48V off-the-shelf electric unit connected directly to the battery, which allows the electric motor to be powered. Its two outputs are protected by 60A and 80A MegaVal fuses and used both for power distribution and for the protection of utilities

MTA Supplies Modular Fuse and Relay Boxes to Trucks and Buses for Tata Motors

MTA has been in long-term business association with Tata Motors supporting the company for both passenger car and commercial vehicle business units. In fact, the plant set up in Pune in 2009 was born to serve Tata as major customer. During this last decade, MTA developed many different products thanks to the work done by our sales people in India always in close cooperation with Tata Motors Research ＆ Development team.
