Production Process of Extruded Silicone Sponge Sealing Strip
There are countless scenes where extruded silicone rubber foam sealing strips are used in industrial products. Silicone rubber has the characteristics of physiological inertia, so it can achieve an adaptive effect in any environment, and it is widely used in mechanical parts sealing. But have you ever wondered how our products are produced and processed? Let me uncover the secret for you.
Silicone rubber sealing strip is a strip shape product. Several different processing methods can be selected for the manufacturing process. Both solid silica gel and liquid silica gel can be used side by side with excellent performance, mainly high and low temperature resistance, and good physiological inertia. It can be used normally under different environmental conditions. Long term use will not affect the deformation resilience. In addition, ozone, UV, and aging have several resistances and meet the requirements of green environmental protection.
Take solid silica gel as an example:
1. Rubber mixing: the raw materials are mixed with the color masterbatch by adding the vulcanizer into the rubber mixer to form an extrusion;
2. Extrusion molding: extrude the extrusion material into the required shape by using the die of the machine head, and pass through the long oven. This process is the first vulcanization.
3. High temperature vulcanization: the product after the first vulcanization is put into the high-temperature oven and enters the second vulcanization. This function is mainly to remove the peculiar smell of the sealing strip and optimize the product performance.
4. Subsequent processing: processing and shipping according to customer needs.
