之前KNOWLES为大家介绍了【技术】什么是隔直电容?它们为何重要?(上),本文将继续为大家解读隔直电容如何消除不必要的直流线路电平,并就楼氏电容(KPD)针对此类应用的相关产品和隔直解决方案作简单介绍。


隔直电容器如何消除不必要的直流线路电平?

电容器是一种无源电子元件,由两块被电介质隔开的极板组成。通电时,两极板会积聚各自的正负电荷,直到电容器与供电电压达到平衡。见图1。

就隔直电容而言,该装置与负载串联。因它能对直流电压起到开路作用不允许其通过电介质,因此可对不需要的直流电压起到隔离作用。在下图2中,电容器C2在该分压器设计中充当隔直电容器,输出波形为零伏左右。


线路上的任何波形都会产生电磁波,这些电磁波以与起始波相反的极性穿过介质,因此,直流电压会被隔离,而波形在容值适当的电容器的作用下,会按预期在零伏附近循环。

在通信领域,射频信号可通过线路传输,这就需要用到隔直电容来确保电平正确地传输或接收。例如,在具有内芯和外护套的同轴线路中,隔直电容既可单独用作内隔直或外隔直,也可同时起到内、外隔直的作用。


如何选择正确的隔直电容?

为了更好地理解电容器在隔直(也称为交流耦合)应用中的作用,以及如何选择正确的隔直电容,让我们来看一下RC高通滤波器是如何工作的。在图3A中,可以看到RC高通滤波器由一个串联电容和一个并联电阻组成。要找到该滤波器的3dB频率截止点,可以使用图3C中的公式。当我们在Bode图(图3B)上绘制通过该滤波器的功率时,可以看到频率在公式中得到的截止频率处下降了3dB,而在低于截止频率的频率处进一步下降,这向我们展示了不同的电容值是如何衰减低频的。

实际上,上述公式假定的是理想条件。现实世界中的制造工艺会引入寄生电感,从而使公式变为近似值。但利用该公式,我们可以大概获知使用什么样的容值可使我们感兴趣的频率通过并对不需要的频率加以隔离。任何电容都可用作隔直,但设计人员在选择容值时,应考虑他们希望通过的最低频率。

要为复杂的实际电子系统找到隔直电容器解决方案,就必须对电流有深入了解。下图4显示了在电动汽车充电设备中使用的DC-DC降压转换器的两侧各添加了一个隔直电容器系统。楼氏电容(KPD)的工程团队采用先进的建模工具来实现这一解决方案,从而确保高质量的快速充电水平。
