We all know that capacitors have both charging and discharging functions. In this article, SRT will take a closer look at the charging and discharging principle of gold capacitors.

Charging:

The process of charging a capacitor (storing charge and electrical energy) is called charging. At this point, the two plates of the capacitor are always positively charged on one plate and the other is negatively charged on the other plate. Connect one plate of the capacitor to the positive pole of the power supply (such as the battery pack), and the other pole to the negative pole of the power supply. The two plates are respectively charged with the same amount of different charges. After charging, there is an electric field between the two plates of the capacitor, and the charging process stores the electric energy obtained from the power source in the capacitor.

Discharge:

The role of the capacitor in the circuit: In a DC circuit, the capacitor is equivalent to an open circuit. A capacitor is a component that can store charge and is one of the most commonly used electronic components.

The process of causing a charged capacitor to lose its charge (releasing charge and electrical energy) is called discharge. For example, a wire is used to turn on the two poles of the capacitor, and the charges on the two poles are neutralized with each other, and the capacitor discharges electric charge and electric energy. After the discharge, the electric field between the two plates of the capacitor disappears and the electrical energy is converted into other forms of energy.

In general electronic circuits, and capacitors are commonly used to achieve bypass, coupling, filtering, oscillation, phase shift, and waveform transformation, all of which are the evolution of their charging and discharging functions.

With the rapid development of electronic information technology, the replacement speed of digital electronic products is getting faster and faster. The production and sales of consumer electronic products, mainly flat-panel TVs (LCDs and PDPs), notebook computers, and digital cameras, continue to grow, driving The capacitor industry is growing. This also makes the future of this industry more and more broad.
