New Product Release: Programmable Spread Spectrum Oscillator YSO171PS Series with Power Consumption as Low as 3.4mA
In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, high-speed electronic equipment has become increasingly popular. High-speed clock signals have become an important source of noise in electromagnetic compatibility radiation and conduction experiments. Effective suppression of them has become the focus of electromagnetic compatibility engineers. Although traditional countermeasures include circuit reconfiguration, matching, isolation, filtering, and shielding, these methods often do not achieve the desired results, leaving engineers confused when dealing with problems caused by high-speed clock signals.
For this reason, the Spread Spectrum crystal oscillator (SSXO for short) came into being. A spread spectrum crystal oscillator is a special type of crystal oscillator, which mainly relies on spread spectrum technology. This technology is widely used in anti-interference communications. Through frequency modulation, narrow-bandwidth energy is dispersed into a wide-bandwidth range, thereby cutting peaks and dispersing energy to a wider range. This process helps solve the problem of excessive electromagnetic radiation (EMI) caused by spikes, providing a reliable solution, especially in a wide range of applications such as medical and automotive.

The spread spectrum technology based on spread spectrum crystal oscillator is the main application technology in anti-interference communication. It is very suitable for wireless communication equipment, computers, and network equipment (in computer motherboards, routers, and switches, etc.), industrial control systems, medical equipment, and automotive electronic systems In other application scenarios, spread spectrum crystal oscillators can provide more stable clock signals, reduce electromagnetic interference, and improve the reliability of the overall system.
