Effect of MOS transistor on brushless motor


Brushless Motor is a kind of electrical energy into mechanical energy drive device, also known as brushless DC Motor (BLDC Motor). Compared with the traditional brush motor, the brushless motor has the advantages of simple structure, durability, higher efficiency, lower noise, no need to maintain the brush and so on. The brushless motor adopts the electronic commutation technology, which can realize the commutation of the motor without using the brush. In many fields has a wide range of applications, industrial appliances: such as machine tools, automatic assembly line, reflecting its high efficiency, low noise, precision control. Household appliances: such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners and so on, reflects a high efficiency, low noise, energy-saving environmental protection.
According to the operation principle of brushless motor, we know that MCU can not drive the motor directly, but through the control of power switch to make the motor run. Its drive circuit is usually composed of multiple MOS, drive bridge and motor drive bridge power transistor.
The recommended MOS transistor package is TO-252, PDFN5 * 6
MOSFET advantages: Trench process, smaller RSP, series and parallel with arbitrary, low on-resistance, junction capacitance moderate, high efficiency, high reliability.
Customers can choose different MOS transistor according to the different parameters of the motor!
