Dynamic IP, which automatically obtains an IP address from a network service provider, is widely used in various industrial environments such as factory automation, intelligent logistics, remote monitoring, etc. This article will explore how to set up dynamic IP access for industrial lte routers to meet complex and ever-changing industrial needs.

I. Understanding the Principle of Dynamic IP Internet Access

Dynamic IP access, as the name suggests, refers to the use of network devices such as industrial lte routers that do not use a fixed IP address when connected to the Internet, but instead dynamically allocate a temporary IP address by the network service provider ISP. This approach simplifies network configuration, eliminates the need to manually set parameters such as IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway, and reduces management costs. In industrial environments, due to the large number of devices and complex network environment, dynamic IP access is particularly suitable.

When selecting an industrial lte router, it is necessary to consider its stability, security, compatibility, and scalability. Industrial lte routers usually have stronger anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities, wider operating temperature ranges, and higher protection levels to adapt to harsh industrial environments. III. Connection and Configuration Procedures

1. Line connection: First, connect broadband cables such as fiber optic cables and network cables to the WAN port of the industrial lte router. The WAN port is usually different in color from the LAN port for easy distinction. Then, connect industrial devices that require Internet access such as PLCs, sensors, cameras, etc. to the industrial lte router's LAN port through network cables.

2.Log into the industrial lte router management interface: Open the browser on your computer or mobile device, clear the address bar, and enter the industrial lte router's management address such as 192.168.1.1 or log in.cn, etc. The specifics are subject to the initial lte router's instructions. Enter the management username and password in the pop-up login interface, usually admin for the initial time, to enter the industrial lte router management interface.

3. Set dynamic IP for Internet access: In the router management interface, find the "Setup Wizard" or similar option and click to enter. In the Internet access method selection, select "Dynamic IP" or "Ethernet broadband, automatically obtain an IP address from the network service provider". Click Next and complete the relevant settings according to the prompts.

4. Wireless network settings are optional: If the industrial router supports wireless function, it is also necessary to set the SSID wireless network name and security password. It is recommended to choose WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryption method and set a strong password to ensure wireless network security.

5. Save and restart: After completing all the settings, click the "Save" or "Finish" button and follow the prompts to restart the router. Once the restart is complete, the industrial lte router will automatically obtain an IP address from the network service provider and assign it to the connected device.

IV. Verification and Debugging

After restarting the router, re-enter the router management interface and click on "Operating Status" or a similar option to view the WAN port status. If the IP address is not 0.0.0.0 and you can access the Internet normally, it indicates that the dynamic IP Internet access settings are successful. At this point, industrial devices connected to the router's LAN port should also be able to access the Internet normally.

V. Precautions and Common Problem Troubleshooting

Ensure that the broadband cable is properly connected to the WAN port of the router and that the interface indicator light is functioning properly.

If the dynamic IP acquisition fails, check whether the network service provider supports dynamic IP services, or try to contact the service provider for resolution.

If you encounter a MAC address binding issue, you can connect the device with a bound MAC address to the router's LAN port to clone the MAC address.

Regularly check the firmware version of the router and update it in time to ensure the stability and security of the router.

The dynamic IP network setting of industrial routers is a basic and important task in the deployment of industrial IoT.
