Geehy Launches APM32M3514 Motor Control SoC Offering Cost-effective Options for Various Motor Control Applications
Geehy introduces the APM32M3514, a highly integrated, energy-efficient Motor Control SoC designed to enhance motor system designs with advanced features and flexibility. This new SoC expands Geehy's product portfolio, offering cost-effective options for various motor control applications.
The APM32M3514, built on the APM32F035 MCU architecture, incorporates an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core with an M0CP coprocessor, a 200V 6N Gate Driver, and a high-performance 3.3V LDO. The integration of a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller and a dual N-channel three-phase driver minimizes system size, reduces the component quantities, and simplifies design, facilitating advanced motor control across diverse applications.
Geehy provides motor control algorithms and reference designs for applications such as garden tools, handheld vacuums, low-voltage fans, and pumps, accelerating product development and delivery for customers.
Optimized Processing Efficiency for Complex Applications
APM32M3514, operating at 72 MHz, with its embedded M0CP coprocessor, ensures high processing efficiency for motor control applications. It supports a single-cycle 32-bit hardware multiplier and includes advanced features such as a shift unit, 32-bit/32-bit division, multiply-accumulate operations, square root calculations, trigonometric functions, and SVPWM. Equipped with 64KB of Flash memory and 10KB of SRAM, the SoC easily handles complex motor control algorithms. The integrated motor-specific PWM supports complementary output and braking functions, linking seamlessly with the M0CP coprocessor.
Integrated Design with Robust Protection
The SoC integrates an MCU, gate driver, operational amplifiers, and an LDO into a compact, all-in-one solution. It features a 200V 6N Gate Driver (operating voltage: 5V–20V) that delivers essential protection features such as overcurrent protection, undervoltage lockout, over-temperature protection, and shoot-through prevention. The built-in 3.3V LDO, with an output voltage error of less than 2%, minimizes the need for external components, providing designers with greater flexibility to optimize system design.
The peripheral configuration of the APM32F035 series is preserved in the APM32M3514. In addition to standard peripherals like a 12-bit ADC (1 Msps), SPI, U(S)ART (supporting full-duplex communication), I2C, and CAN, it integrates advanced features including two programmable analog comparators (COMP), one temperature sensor (T-sensor), and four general operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) with a gain consistency error of less than 1% and a slew rate of 10 V/μs. These components meet the precise sampling requirements of various motor control applications.
Comprehensive Motor Control Ecosystem for Seamless Integration
Geehy offers a complete motor control ecosystem, featuring a universal development platform that supports from application, intermediate, device, and hardware. This platform is maintained by an experienced motor control team, providing customer support on high- and low-voltage motor systems, domain-specific hardware, low-level register SDKs, motor-specific computations, a variety of algorithms, multiple control methods, and extensive protection features.
The APM32M3514 motor control EVAL board, designed for applications with rated voltage from 12V to 72V, facilitates rapid development and solution validation. It enables users to explore the capabilities of Geehy chips for further development and algorithms test. Furthermore, Geehy provides a complete toolchain, multi-scenario demos, and timely technical support, helping users accelerate their path to mass production.
Available in QFN48 and LQFP48 packages, APM32M3514 is now in mass production, with samples ready for customers.
