Uwb Creates Smart Port Personnel Positioning, Safe and Efficient New Upgrade
The port personnel positioning system adopts UWB technology and meets the safety management, operation scheduling, attendance, and asset management needs in complex port environments through explosion-proof/flameproof base stations VDU2613 and positioning tags VDU1501. It has advantages such as high precision, strong real-time performance, high reliability, easy deployment and expansion, and can be integrated with other systems.
1. Industry Demand
As an important logistics hub, ports have frequent personnel activities and complex operating environments. In port scenarios, there is an urgent need for personnel positioning as follows:
(1) Security Management Requirements:
There are large-scale mechanical equipment operations, cargo handling and other activities in the port area, which are prone to safety accidents such as collisions. Accurately understanding the location of personnel can effectively prevent them from entering dangerous areas and reduce safety risks.
In emergency situations such as fires, explosions, etc., it is possible to quickly determine the location of personnel and implement rescue measures to ensure the safety of personnel's lives.
(2) Job Scheduling Requirements:
Port operations involve multiple stages and personnel from different positions. Through personnel positioning, real-time information on personnel distribution can be obtained, and reasonable operation scheduling can be carried out to improve work efficiency.
For specific tasks such as cargo loading and unloading, equipment maintenance, etc., suitable personnel can be quickly found for arrangement, reducing waiting time.
(3) Attendance Management Requirements:
Accurately record the attendance time and working hours of personnel, facilitate attendance statistics and management, and ensure that employees arrive on time and fulfill their job responsibilities.
(4) Asset Management Requirements:
In some cases, personnel may need to carry important equipment or tools for work. By associating tags with devices, real-time tracking and management of assets can be achieved, preventing asset loss or damage.
2. Positioning Principle
The personnel positioning system of the port mainly uses ultra wideband (UWB) technology for positioning. UWB technology measures the time difference by sending and receiving extremely narrow pulse signals to determine the location of the target. The specific principle is as follows:
(1) UWB base station Deployment:
Reasonably arrange UWB base stations VDU2613 (explosion-proof/explosion-proof type) in the port area, which can receive signals from positioning tags.
The location of the base station is accurately measured and calibrated to ensure the accuracy of positioning.
(2) Positioning Tag Signal Transmission:
The staff wear UWB positioning tag VDU1501, which regularly emits UWB signals.
The signal transmitted by the tag contains a unique identification code, so that the base station can identify different personnel.
(3) Signal Reception and Processing:
After receiving the signal transmitted by the tag, the base station measures the time difference of arrival (TDOA) of the signal.
By measuring the time difference between multiple base stations, the position coordinates of the tag can be calculated using triangulation algorithm.
(4) Data Transmission and Display:
The base station transmits the measured signal data to the positioning server through wired or wireless networks.
The location server processes and calculates data, and finally displays the location information of personnel on the management platform.
