Application of CW32L083 Series MCU in Air Purifiers, Supported by Built in Independent Calibration RTC
Nowadays, with the rapid development and progress of society, the air pollution situation is also becoming increasingly severe. The emissions of fossil fuels and automobile exhaust have led to a serious decline in air quality in China, with PM2.5 fine particles being the main culprit of pollutants. PM2.5 has an extremely adverse impact on human health and can enter the body through the respiratory tract, causing damage to human organs. Therefore, detecting indoor PM2.5 concentration and implementing effective management directly affect people's living standards and physical and mental health.
Therefore, there are more and more air purification devices on the market. Among them, the air purifier solves this problem. For people who work indoors for a long time, air purifiers are particularly important. The air purifier can effectively treat various indoor gas pollutants and suspended solids such as dust particles. Through the ventilation device inside the machine, the indoor air is circulated and purified.

The air purifier introduced in this article adopts the CW32L083 series microcontroller as the control core of the air purifier, and combines important components such as sensors, displays, drivers, and wireless transceivers to complete the required functions of the controller system.
The CW32L083 series microcontroller, as the main control chip, can operate at a maximum frequency of 64MHz. It not only integrates up to 256K FLASH memory, but also integrates 24K SRAM memory, with huge data storage functions.

MCU features and advantages:
ARM Cortex-M0+32-bit kernel;
Built in up to 8x52 segment LCD driver;
Up to 6 serial ports, 2 SPIs, and 2 IICs;
Up to 128K Flash, 24K SRAM;
Built in independent calibration RTC, which can run in Deep Sleep mode;
Moreover, the chip contains an RTC real-time clock, which has two independent alarm clocks. The time and date can be combined to generate alarm interrupts and output through pins; Support timestamp function, which can be triggered through pins to record the current date and time, while generating timestamp interrupts; Support cycle interruption; Support automatic wake-up function, which can generate interrupts and output through pins; Supports 1Hz square wave and RTCOUT output functions; Supports internal clock calibration compensation.
CW32L083 is equipped with an independently calibrated 32.8kHz RC clock source that provides a driving clock for RTC. RTC can operate in deep sleep mode and is suitable for applications that require low power consumption.
The CW32L083 series microcontroller not only has high-speed processing speed, but also has numerous onboard resources and very powerful functions.
