Clean energy products have always been an important part of GRL's product system. Photovoltaic power generator has significant energy, environmental protection, and economic benefits, and is one of the highest quality green energy sources.
As an important part of the photovoltaic power generator system, the photovoltaic combiner box is an important product of GRL.
Customer Needs
GRL's Customer needs to provide solar DC combiner boxes for independent photovoltaic power generator systems. The solar DC combiner box energy storage equipment provides isolation protection to form a photovoltaic system that can operate independently.
Customer Challenge
The voltage of the photovoltaic power generator system has reached 1500V, which has higher requirements for the performance of the fuse. The power generated by the photovoltaic system needs to be boosted and stored in the energy storage system, which requires an additional fuse and DC isolator switch.
Solution
GRL supplied the solar panel combiner box and dc fuse box for this project.
GRL engineers use DC MCCB as the main switch, 40 amp DC fuse, and DC1500V fuse holder as branch circuit protection. Each PV combiner box adopts a six-way design and uses busbar connection clips to condense the current to the copper bars. The in-phase combiner box adopts stainless steel casing to ensure the temperature rise performance and protection level.
DC fuse box
In the DC fuse box, the main switchboard uses a 1500V DC isolation switch. The branch circuit protection device adopts a DC48V NH fuse. After the shunt current is boosted, it enters the energy storage device through a 40-amp DC fuse.
In case of emergency, the DC isolating switch can be turned off at any time. (100 amp DC fuse, 200 amp DC fuse, 300 amp DC fuse, and 400 amp DC fuse can be selected according to the actual situation)
Summary
This is the first time that GRL's DC isolator switch and DC fuse have appeared in the South American market. GRL's 400A switch disconnector and DC fuse can adapt to the use environment in many countries and meet the usage habits of the global photovoltaic market.

Born to Be Safe: GRL‘s Fuse Switch Provides Safe Protection for TBEA, a Leading Power Transmission and Transformation Company. TBEA faced a temperature rise issue in a JP box project using an international brand fuse switch. GRL offered a solution by replacing the fuse switch with its DNH7 model, modifying the switchgear layout, and using a low-power fuse. The final temperature rise was within the qualified standard.
