那么,针对周围的温度和纹波电流对铝电解电容使用寿命的影响,是否有量化的计算公式可以算出来呢? 答案是肯定的。下面让我们一起探讨其计算的方法。
1)周围温度对铝电解电容寿命的影响
周围温度对寿命的影响主要体现在电容量的减少以及损耗角正切值的增大。这些现象的起因是,电解液从封口部分向外部渐渐扩散。根据电性能的时间变化和周围温度之间的关系,可得出下列公式。
Lx=Lo*BTo-Tx/10
Lo:在最高使用温度下,额定施加电压和额定纹波电流重叠时的保证寿命(hours)
Lx:实际使用温度下的预期寿命(hours)
To:最高额定使用温度(℃)
Tx:实际使用时的环境温度 (℃)
B: 温度加速系数
由上述公式可知,电解电容应用时,须考虑环境散热方式、散热强度、电容与热源的距离以及电容的安装方式。
2)纹波电流对铝电解电容寿命的影响
纹波电流计算是得到电容功率损耗的一个重要参数。在设计电路选择电容的时候,我们必须首先确定电流的纹波大小,这和设计规格和具体拓扑结构相关。铝电解电容常被用在整流模块后以平稳电压,我们在选择好具体拓扑结构后,根据规格要求得到最小的电容值。在纹波电流的选择时,需要降额设计。
由于铝电解电容器和其他的电容器相比损耗较大,因而纹波电流会导致内部发热,纹波电流产生的热又会使温度上升,所以对于产品寿命有很大的影响。因此,需事先根据不同产品来设定最大允许的纹波电流值。外加纹波电流的发热度可由下面的计算式得出:
W=Ir2* ESR +V*IL
W:内部的消耗电力;
Ir:纹波电流;
ESR:内部电阻(等效串联电阻);
V:外加电压;
IL:漏电流
在最高使用温度下,漏电流增加到20℃时的5~10倍,但仍然Ir≥IL,则W= Ir2?ESR。需求出内部发热和放热达到平衡的条件,则
Ir2.R=β*A*ΔT
β:放热常数;
A:外壳表面积(m2);
A=π/4.D(D+4L);
D:外壳的直径(m);
L:外壳的长度(m);
ΔT:因纹波电流所上升的温度(℃))
那么,内部发热:ΔT= Ir2.ESR/(β*A)
另外,纹波电流在120Hz的情况下发热可由下式得出:
ΔT= Ir2.ESR/(β*A)= Ir2.tanδ/βAωC(在这里ESR = tanδ/ωC)
tanδ:120Hz时的损耗;
ω:2πf(f等于120Hz);
C:120Hz时的电容(F))
ESR值是根据温度的变化而变化的,因此,求出正确的△T,必须实际测得热电偶的数值。
顾及由纹波电流产生的内部发热和周围温度的影响,NIPPON-CHEMICON寿命推定式是:
a)施加DC标称电压时的保证寿命为:
Lx=Lo×2(To-Tx)/10 ×2(-△T/5)(贴片型)
b)允许纹波电流重叠时的保证寿命为 :
Lx=Lr×2(To-Tx)/10 ×2(△T o -△T)/5(引线型、基板自立型)
c)Lx=Lr×2(To-Tx)/10 ×2[-2+(25 -△T)/b(螺丝端子型)
Lr:在最高使用温度下标称纹波电流重叠时的保证寿命(hours)
Lx:实际使用时的推测寿命(hours)
To:产品的最高使用温度(℃)
Tx:实际使用时的周围温度(℃)
T:纹波电流导致的芯子中心发热度(℃)
To:施加允许纹波电流时的芯子中心发热度(℃)
(最高使用温度105℃系列的△T o=5℃)
因此,通过如上的计算公式,可以推出铝电解电容的使用寿命。当然很多电解电容厂家会提供电解电容使用寿命对照表,以便研发人员查看,并通过实际应用对比电解电容的特性。
