Rhyton ABS-PBTL77 Absorbing Plastic——“Electromagnetic Scavenger“ for Automotive Milimeter Wave Radar
Radar sensors are core components in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that improve vehicle safety and convenience. By the intelligent driving technology is continuously developing, the application of automotive millimeter wave radar is becoming more and more widespread.
Compared with ultrasonic radar and lidar, automotive millimeter wave radar has the advantages of low cost, strong anti-interference ability, long detection range and high accuracy. Rhyton ABS-PBTL77 is an absorbing PBT particle specially developed for automotive millimeter-wave radar. It uses PBT thermoplastic as the carrier and has good weather resistance and machinability. After being modified with the wave-absorbing particles, it has good electromagnetic wave absorbing characteristics at 77GHz. When co-injected with PBT injection molding shell, it can effectively reduce the interference of millimeter wave radar radome clutter on patch antennas and chips, improving radar recognition sensitivity and effective detection range.
