【选型】电解电容选型,这些参数是你必须知道的


在电路系统中,电解电容可以实现电源电压的滤波,信号的旁路、耦合,等等功能,是电路中不可缺少的无源器件。
那么在实际应用中,设计师又应该如何进行电解电容的选型呢?在这里结合KENDEIL的一款电解电容K04系列(参数如表1所示),详细介绍选型过程中应该重点关注哪些参数,以及如何选取合适的参数可以实现电路系统的稳定可靠运行。

由表1可以看出,电解电容的关键参数主要有以下几点:
容量、耐压
电解电容本体上一般都标有容量和耐压,这两个参数是选择电容基本的参数。
1)对于容量的选择,需要根据电路的功率大小,考虑实际应用中电流的变化,根据电路中允许的纹波电压进行选取。
2)电容在电路中实际要承受的电压不能超过它的耐压值。在滤波电路中,电容的耐压值不应小于交流有效值的1.42倍,同时需要留有15%以上的裕量。比如输入为220V的交流电,经过整流后,耐压至少要求360VDC,根据实际产品,可以选择K04系列450V耐压的产品。
ESR(等效串联电阻)
实际的电容产品由于其材料、结构的原因,会存在各种的阻抗和感抗。其中等效串联电阻被称为ESR,电容的ESR越小,越是可以很好的吸收快速转换时的纹波电流。
纹波电流和纹波电压
纹波电流表征的是流过电解电容的交流电流的大小。纹波电压等于纹波电流与ESR的乘积。在 ESR 保持不变而纹波电流增大的情况下,纹波电压会成比例提高,因此为了减小纹波电压,需要选择ESR尽量小的电容使用。
电容寿命
电解电容都存在一定的寿命,影响电容寿命的因素有很多,过电压、高温、急剧充放电等都可能导致电容的容值迅速衰减。其中影响最大的是温度。温度越高,电解质的挥发速度越快。
正常情况下,电解电容的温度每升高10℃,电容的寿命就会减半。要提高电解电容的寿命,首先要降低温度,将电容放入散热风道,并远离热源;其次选择标称寿命更长的电容,K04系列电解电容标称寿命如表2所示:

由表2可以看到,在温度为85℃、母线电压不超过450V时,K04系列电容寿命超过20000小时,非常适合对寿命要求很高的产品使用。
温度范围、封装形式与尺寸
在工业产品中,要求产品能够工作在较宽的温度范围,因此电容地温度范围也是非常重要的参数之一。如根据实际环境需求,K04系列电解电容可工作在-40℃~+85℃,可以很好满足工业级产品的温度要求。
电解电容具有多种不同的封装与尺寸,实际应用中需要根据产品的结构设计,选择合适的电容。图1是K04系列电解电容的封装图:

从以上分析来看,电解电容的选型主要关注容值、耐压、纹波电流和纹波电压、寿命以及封装形式等参数。在实际应用中,要针对系统需求,既能考虑性能指标,又要兼顾封装尺寸,达到最高的性价比。
