【应用】单向瞬态电压抑制器CMF90A在PoE供电系统中的应用,可承受1.2A的峰值脉冲电流,峰值耗散功率高达200W
PoE(以太网供电)技术能有效的解决以太网终端设备的供电问题,同时确保现有布线安全和网络的正常运作,在现代以太网通讯中应用日益广泛。PoE供电系统如图1所示,48V供电电压通过网线的空闲线或者数据线的传输到受电侧PD,经过DC/DC变换后成为24V、12V、5V、3.3V提供给后级终端设备。

带有直流偏置的电压信号通过RJ45接入受电侧后,经过网络变压器进行信号的分频,分离出直流电压后接入到桥式整流电路进行整流滤波,然后送入PD控制器,如图2所示。桥式整流在此处的主要作用式防止供电端网口极性接反,其最大工作电压通常选择输入电压3倍或者更高,即150V以上,以提高使用时的可靠性。在实际的应用中,由于网线可能要经过户外环境,雷击带来的浪涌问题不可避免,为了以提高整流桥的可靠性,保护后级电路,防雷保护措施必不可少。除了采用气体放电管做一级防雷外,还需要增加二级、三级防雷电路,已达到进一步消除雷击残压的目的。在整流桥输入侧,增加单向瞬态电压抑制二极管能有效的滤除雷击共模残压。在此处的应用中,笔者推荐Central公司生产的CMF90A瞬态电压抑制二极管,该二极管可承受1.2A的峰值脉冲电流,峰值耗散功率高达200W(10/1000us 波形),HBM放电模式下的ESD电压达到25KV,并具有低钳位电压,能可靠的保护后级电路,应用原理如图3所示。

CMF90A反向工作电压VRWM为90V,大于整流桥最高输入电压57V(PoE工作电压范围44~57V,典型值48V);击穿电压100V~110V,最大钳位电压146V(@Ipp=1.2A),低于整流桥最高工作电压150V,能在整流桥击穿前提前导通,为整流桥提供保障。VRWM电压下反向漏电流为1.0uA,超低的漏电流有利用减少设备发热,提高电源效率。采用SOD-123F的小型化封装,有利于散热和高密度布线。工作、存储结温温度范围-65~+150℃,达到军工级的温度等级,能在苛刻的环境中应用。
