【经验】双频晶体振荡器减少串扰,实现100fs抖动的4个简单原则

为了在Si534x实际应用中实现100fs的抖动性能,工程师需要遵循一定的设计原则以降低串扰风险。当一些频率较高、幅度较大且上升时间较快的信号连接比较近时,就会存在串扰,串扰的来源于Si534x器件的本身或者PCB布板走线,且很难定量分析。下面四个简单原则可以帮助工程师有效优化抖动性能。


1)尽量选择差分输出

差分输出产生平衡的、互补的输出信号,这些差分信号格式会产生最小的共模噪声(最小化EMI),它们通常比CMOS格式消耗更低的功率,以产生最好的抖动性能。


2)仔细的配置时钟输出顺序

减少串扰的最简单的方法之一是安排时钟输出,这样使得彼此之间可能存在串扰时钟在物理不相邻,避免出现串扰。比如SONETOC-48常用的积分带宽12kHz~20MHz,如果相邻的两个时钟接近20MHz,就在这个抖动积分带宽范围之内,就有可能出现串扰问题。比如155.52MHz和156.25MHz相邻输出,因为156.25MHz-155.52MHz=0.73MHz,在20MHz带宽范围之内,因此工程师设计时应该避免155.52MHz和156.25MHz频点相邻输出。


3)使用未使用的输出端口隔离输出时钟

使用未使用的时钟输出可用于在物理上物理分离可能相互干扰的时钟。


例如上述例子,如果有一个未使用的时钟输出,它可以放置在一个155.52MHz和一个156.25MHz的时钟之间,在物理上分开它们。


4)避免在关键抖动应用中使用CMOS输出格式

不同于差分时钟的平衡输出,CMOS格式会再时钟上升沿产生过冲电流,会导致显著的串扰。如果客户必须使用CMOS格式输出,CMOS输出应该是“隔离”,远离临界不相同频率的时钟输出。另外Si534x都支持差分对输出,如果选择CMOS输出时,建议选择互补输出选项而不是选择同相位输出。如果需要配合使用CMOS时钟缓冲器,建议将时钟缓冲器远离Si534x器件,以避免耦合产生。

Silicon Labs(芯科实验室有限公司)发布了一款低抖动差分缓冲器——CY28800,该器件CTC抖动时间小于50ps,可以作为CK409和CK410的配套器件使用。CY28800具有8组0.7V的差分时钟输出,采用OE_INV输入实现OE,PWRDWN以及 SRC_STP活动电平的翻转,同时该产品具有可编程的带宽,扩展了产品的使用范围。

时钟发生器Si5347,使用锁相环B手动切主备时钟,在主时钟工作时能正常锁定,将主时钟信号拆下接入备用时钟输入端,软件也将信号切换到备用时钟,Si5347全部失锁怎么办?

检查主备时钟的切换程序,特别注意时钟发生器Si5347的锁相环B,其输入配置使用的是相应寄存器的位域[3:1],而另外3个锁相环A,C和D的输入配置使用的是相应寄存器的位域[2:0]。
