Skylab lanuched a 1.8μA Ultra Low Energy Bluetooth Module SKB378 for Smart Home
The annual report released by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, SIG shows that the annual shipments of Bluetooth network equipment will usher in a 2.5-fold increase in the next five years. The widespread popularity of Bluetooth technology in smart home devices. Bluetooth lighting control systems are gradually gaining acceptance. The Bluetooth device market will continue to grow rapidly.
Bluetooth technology has become a basic requirement in smart home devices. Among them, low-power, high-performance Bluetooth modules are widely used in IoT products.
The BLE4.0/4.2/5.0/5.2 Bluetooth modules developed and launched by SKYLAB are all industrial-grade products. The Bluetooth module supports master-slave mode and serial port transparent transmission. Products have been widely used in lighting, smart door locks, and other fields. It monitors building lighting, temperature, humidity, and occupancy, as well as automates building systems.
Next, Skylab(天工测控) recommends a Bluetooth module SKB378 for smart home and smart lighting. The SKB378 is an ultra-low energy Bluetooth module with a sleep current as low as 1.8μA.
Introduction of Ultra Low Energy Bluetooth Module SKB378
SKB378 is a highly integrated Bluetooth 5.2 module. It can be used for high-speed, short-range wireless communication in the 2.4GHz ISM band. SKB378 Bluetooth module complies with industrial-grade standards, supports master-slave mode, serial port transparent transmission, and AT command control.
SKB378 supports AoA Bluetooth high-precision indoor positioning. The module integrates a 32-bit ARM Cotex-M33 processor with a main frequency of 76.8MHz. The Bluetooth module also has built-in 32kB RAM and 512kB Flash and supports analog or digital peripherals.
The receiving sensitivity of the SKB378 Bluetooth module is as high as -106.7dBm, and it can achieve transparent data transmission over a distance of 50+ meters. It is the preferred Bluetooth solution for IoT Bluetooth data collection, transparent data transmission, intelligent control, AoA Bluetooth beacon, and AoA Bluetooth gateway.
SKB378 has rich peripherals, such as UART, SPI, SmartCard-ISO7816, IrDA, I2S, I2C, PDM, etc.
SKB378 is more cost-effective, supports a low power consumption mode, and sleep current is less than 1.8μA. The size, module appearance, and packaging are consistent with the existing BLE4.2 Bluetooth module SKB369 and BLE5.0 Bluetooth module SKB501. In terms of performance, SKB378 has lower power consumption and can transmit longer distances.
