二氧化锰钽电容的“燃烧爆炸”的问题,给众多设计师造成了无尽的困扰,而随着聚合物钽电容器的诞生,上述问题得到极大程度的改善。自导电聚合物钽电容问世以来,凭借更低的等效串联电阻(ESR)、更好的频率响应特性,逐步受到各使用厂商的青睐。
特性介绍
产品结构:聚合物钽电容与锰系钽电容的外形结构相同,其区别在于聚合物钽电容采用导电高分子聚合物填充成电容阴极。导电高分子聚合物的电导率约为二氧化锰的100倍,正因为这个优点,聚合物钽电容的ESR只有固体二氧化锰钽电容的几分之一甚至更小。
失效模式:聚合物钽电容具有自动修补氧化膜中的裂纹和瑕疵点的功能,使氧化膜介质层恢复其应有的绝缘能力而不致遭到连续性破坏。瑕疵点包括金属或非金属杂质、介质晶化点等,修补过程不会像二氧化锰钽电容分解出助燃物(O2),防止了燃烧爆炸。这种独特的自愈性能,保证了其长寿命和可靠性的优势。下图为聚合物钽电容自愈的过程:
