Benewake LiDAR Sensors Improve Vehicle Mobility and Overcomes Parking Problem in Three-dimensional Parking
Supply goes far and far behind demand in car parking in almost nationwide with globalization, rapid market change and technology innovation. In this context, three-dimensional parking with apparent advantage of low cost and high space availability becomes a priority in replacing conventional parking, bringing great alternative space for all sectors.
Such alternative parking is applied in residential areas, public facilities and self-use. Such catalytic effect appears amid the intensive promulgation of parking construction policies. The near future will see the boom of three-dimensional parking. Benewake LiDAR sensors installed in smart parking system collect data, detect vehicle, measure vehicle length and height and then select suitable parking place for the vehicle. The sensor detects any irregular displacement of vehicle during parking by comparing distance, avoiding unnecessary collision or scratching.
Three-dimensional parking of mainly nine types is available in the market. These include lift-and-slide, vertical circulation, simple lifting, vertical lifting, planar movement, stacking and multi-layer circulation. Lift-and-slide, the most common type, is three-dimensional with lifting carrier or slide drive-in and out, usually unmanned. In other words, the vehicle is moved to position after you leave the vehicle. Benewake LiDAR sensors improve vehicle mobility and overcomes parking problem in three-dimensional parking.
