How To Choose The Smart Home IoT WiFi Module?
The wireless connection technology is the most critical in IoT applications, SKYLAB is a wireless module R&D manufacturer. What is a WiFi module for smart home IoT?
WiFi module belongs to the IoT transport layer, built-in wireless network protocol IEEE802.11b.g.n protocol stack as well as TCP/IP protocol stack. It can convert serial port or TTL level to WiFi wireless network communication standard compliant embedded module.
WiFi modules are standard in tablet PCs and smartphones. There are many advantages of WiFi technology in smart homes. WiFi smart nodes can be directly connected to wireless routers. Thus, they can access the Internet network. It does not need a home gateway, and the nodes can be expanded at will. Smartphones can be controlled by LAN and remote control.
WiFi modules can be divided into three types: general-purpose WiFi modules, router WiFi modules, and embedded modules. Many traditional devices that can be networked are embedded WiFi modules.
What are the characteristics of WiFi modules for smart home IoT?
●Communication interfaces include USB, WAN/LAN, UART, I²S, I²C, SPI, SD, and PWM.
●power supply 3.3V is more commonly used, there are also 5V power supply.
●the antenna processing has PCB board and through the Ipex seat external.
●choose the right module size to facilitate integration.
●The working frequency band is 2.4-2.5GHz, 5.0-5.8GHz.
