数字时代对通信和数据传输的需求创造了一个巨大的宽带连接市场，带来了对频率覆盖范围广、尺寸小和功率高的器件的需求。针对这一需求，史密斯英特康的TSX系列固定片式衰减器在小型0604表面贴装封装中提供高达50GHz的宽带性能，可处理1至3W CW功率。TSX系列的衰减值从1到10dB（以1dB步进）以及15和20dB，精度为：1至10dB的衰减器在50GHz以内为±0.5dB，15和20dB的衰减器在40至50GHz之间为±3.0dB，驻波比在40GHz内最大为1.2：1，在40和50GHZ之间为1.25：1。
