【成功案例】使用屏蔽导电膜TECKFILM成功解决LCD的EMI问题,EMI认证通过
电子产品中,如果被滤波的电流没有回流路径可以用,那么滤波电路对于防止EMI传导和干扰耦合以及辐射就起不到作用。这个时候,就需要借助于外部屏蔽。外部屏蔽的基本原理是围绕电路的关键部分放置一个导电表面,用来吸收和反射耦合到电路中的电磁场。常用做法是,对于低频屏蔽,采用全金属外壳密闭;对于30MHz以上的高频屏蔽,只要在塑胶外壳上电镀一层金属漆或者覆一层金属导电膜就可以。
我们最近做的一个带LCD显示的智能家居控制产品,就遇到了需要屏蔽才能解决的问题。最后使用了PARKER CHOMERICS的TECKFILM EMI屏蔽导电膜才通过。

LCD通过FPC软排线和CPU连接,而LCD本身,会有一个TCON板,用来做Timing controller 和COM buffer, LCD bias偏压电路 以及Backlight 背光电路。
当前状态下,测试的曲线和超标频率点见Fig 2和Table-1。从曲线和表格可以看出,没有屏蔽时,低频部分的辐射比较严重,并且有振荡。

对于100MH以上的RF频率点,通过在线上套EMI衰减器就可以解决。而对于100Mhz以内的,30MHz, 40MHz, 50MHz, 60MHz,就需要具体分析是什么原因导致。
分析步骤如下:
1. 先查看电路中是否有同一频率点的晶振或者IC的工作频率和超标点是否相同。
如果没有,说明不是器件本身引起的辐射超标。 如果有,需要看对应的电路是否做了限幅。 经过排查,我们没有发现一致的。只有LCD_CLK的频率是33MHz,
接近30Mhz,因此我们在FPC线上串了平坦型的EMI衰减器,高频部分下去了些,低频部分,虽然在标准下面,但是没有-6dB的裕量。见Fig3

2. 要看器件工作时的频率的整数倍频是否和超标点相同,如果相同,说明可能是这部分导致。我们发现LCD背面的偏压和背光驱动电路,工作频率是1Mhz初步断定,辐射来源可能就是从这里出来的。在贴铝箔之前,我们做了如下工作:
1.更换背光和偏压用DC-DC boost IC,辐射没有改善;
2.把电感换成屏蔽电感,也没有效果;说明辐射不是器件本身产生的;
3.把电路板的GND和LCD背面的金属框短接,幅度稍微降低了些。
4.LCD上面的亚克力面板背面贴导电布,只留出显示区域不贴。和3效果一样。
从1-4的测试,说明增加GND区域能改善辐射效果。
于是我们先用铝箔覆盖在驱动板上。先贴一层绝缘布,再贴普通的铝箔在LCD的背面,把后面的驱动板完全盖住。见Fig4,这样驱动板的辐射不会从背面跑出来。

测试后,发现没有改善。见Fig 5

难道是我们用的方式不对? 后来EMC测试实验室的技术人员说,之前有客户是直接贴在LCD屏显示区域的上面就通过了。说明辐射从LCD的另外一面出来了。这个部分是我们忽略的地方。可是LCD的TOP层贴一层膜的话,显示不就受到影响了吗? 看来需要透明的屏蔽膜才可以。幸运的是,我们找到了Parker Chomerics的TECKFILM EMI屏蔽导电膜。

根据规格书,TECKFILM屏蔽膜是一种具有热稳定性的聚酯材料,有下面几个优势:超薄(厚度只有0.127mm), 高屏蔽性(最高做到55dB的屏蔽效果@1欧/sq),-45°C~+100°C的宽温度工作范围,尤其是75%的透明度。这些正是我们需要所的。我们从LCD的显示面(TOP)贴上屏蔽膜,四周和LCD的金属边框粘贴在一起,形成闭合回路,然后再测试,效果一下就出来了。见Fig 8。
由于贴合后,GND面积增大,并且和金属框以及整个电路形成了回路,可以看到低频部分的振荡,已经消除。

对于200MHz附近的180MHz的频点,我们测试时,电源线上漏串了一个EMI衰减器(>100MHz的衰减),所以会一直存在。对于1GHz附近处的频点,是贴膜后,和我们的机器顶部的亚克力盖板背面的导电布,短在了一起导致的。撕掉亚克力背面的导电布,就消除了。见Fig 9

综上,使用EMI屏蔽膜导电膜对于LCD低频抑制效果非常明显。根据我们多年设计经验,一般带LCD和屏线的产品,EMI认证通过率都很低,不过,有了TECKFILM透明屏蔽膜导电膜,就不再担心LCD的EMI问题。它能保证快速把辐射降下来。
使用注意事项:
1. 使用前,先选择TECKFILM屏蔽膜的规格,一般LCD都是金属外壳,贴合后,也和LCD的边框形成回路。如果辐射较高的,可以使用14ohm/sq规格的;如果对透光率要求较高而辐射幅度又不大的,可以选择50ohm/sq规格。
2. 屏蔽膜本身导电,注意不要和其他电子器件短接在一起,避免烧坏电路。
3. 对于LCD外壳不是金属的,需要用导电胶布把LCD的GND和屏蔽膜短接起来。

【应用】如何正确规范地喷涂Parker Chomerics导电涂料
大多数Parker Chomerics导电涂料由相对低粘度涂料溶液中的片状或粉末状金属颗粒组成。 因此,在混合和使用时必须特别注意防止金属颗粒沉淀在涂料溶液中。从大容量(> 1升)的容器施加的涂料需要机械搅拌,即涂料容器中的气动混合器。混合涂料•将涂料罐放在涂料搅拌器上3-4分钟,或用大刮刀手工混合,直到所有固体都是均匀的悬浮液,才能很好地混合导电涂料。确保容器的底部或侧面没有未混合的材料。
