Flairmicro and Longsys Work Together on In-vehicle Wireless Terminals to Boost the Smart Vehicle Industry
With the development of vehicle intelligence, intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) are entering a new stage and smart components for vehicles are growing rapidly. As the communication and control center of a vehicle's external networking, the in-vehicle wireless terminal implements infotainment networking, remote connection control, and other functions for the vehicle. With smart driving developing to a higher level, both vehicle-side computing and vehicle–road collaboration have increasingly higher requirements for communication and storage capabilities.
For this reason, Flaircomm Microelectronics, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Flairmicro) and Longsys (stock code: 301308) are working together on in-vehicle wireless terminal applications to boost the smart vehicle industry.

According to the ranking of first-tier suppliers' standard installation volume of in-vehicle wireless terminals for passenger cars (domestic) in the Chinese market in 2021, which was released by GaoGong Intelligent Vehicle Research Institute on May 16, Flairmicro is among the top in the domestic market with a new vehicle installation and insurance volume of 426,200 units.
Flairmicro's in-vehicle wireless terminal 4.0 is equipped with Longsys's FORESEE automotive eMMC. By virtue of the core competitiveness of both companies products in the in-vehicle electronics field, the in-vehicle wireless terminals have been widely applied in domestic car brands such as SAIC.

IoV Solution: in-vehicle wireless terminal
Flairmicro in-vehicle wireless terminal 4.0 mainly implements the 4G TDD/FDD vehicle front-mounted wireless network technology. For 4G wireless communication, it supports LTE CAT4. The 802.11ac and 2.4GHz short-range wireless communication for the vehicle body significantly improve the communication rate. Meanwhile, the product supports the 100base T1 vehicle Ethernet bus architecture, which provides support for ADAS and autonomous driving.
With the built-in FORESEE automotive eMMC (Grade 3), the product allows for complete and accurate data storage performance with high durability and high-speed response for the vehicle. In extremely harsh environments from -40℃ to 85℃, FORESEE automotive eMMC can still realize remote monitoring, remote control, security monitoring and alarm, remote diagnosis, and other online IoV applications, providing users with a safer and more convenient driving experience.

The product owner of Flairmicro said that vehicles are now becoming data-based, and the in-vehicle wireless terminal acts as the data channel between the vehicle and the cloud by storing the collected and recorded car driving data in the system, which parses the data and shows it on the display. Therefore, the in-vehicle wireless terminal's responsibility is to protect data, and that's why Flairmicro has high requirements in the selection of memory.
