Nippon Chemi-Con Developed High Ripple Resistant Screw Terminal Type Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors RWJ Series with 1.16 Times Higher Ripple Resistance
Nippon Chemi-Con has developed the RWJ Series (guarantees 2,000 hours at 85℃) as a high ripple-resistant series of screw terminal type aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
This Series was developed as products specialized for ripple resistance based on the conventional RWR Series. Ripple resistance is approximately 1.16 times higher and ripple resistance per unit capacitance is approximately 1.40 times higher than that of the RWR Series.
When higher ripple resistance is required in industrial inverters, it is necessary to take measures such as increasing the size or quantity of capacitors. As a result, the capacitance will increase more than necessary and excess will occur. In such applications, the RWJ Series contributes to the optimization of system design, downsizing, and cost reduction.
In the development process, Nippon Chemi-Con reduced the resistance of products and achieved high ripple resistance by adopting a new low-loss electrode foil developed in-house. *The series' name may change.

Mass Production
Mass production of the RWJ Series was scheduled to start in June 2020 at
Chemi-Con Fukushima Corp. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Chemi-Con)

By extending the lower limit of the category temperature range from the conventional -25℃ to -40℃, these products can be used in equipment for cold regions.
