Cmsemicon‘s New BAT32A2 Series 32-bit MCU Complying with AEC-Q100 Standard Boosts Intelligent Automotive


As the level of automotive intelligence increases, the demand for MCUs is surging. Cmsemicon(中微半导体) has overcome the technical difficulties and recently released the new BAT32A2 series of automotive-grade MCUs. The new devices have passed strict reliability standards and comply with the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 automotive standard, now mainly used in automotive and high-end industrial markets. This release marks a great breakthrough of Cmsemicon in the 32-bit MCU market.
In order to meet the standards of high performance, high safety, and high reliability of automotive MCUs, the BAT32A2 series was initially designed to meet the needs of automotive intelligence and digital development, with the reliability standard reaching the AEC-Q100 Grade 1 level as its goal. The BAT32A2 series includes three models, BAT32A237, BAT32A239, and BAT32A279, which can be flexibly selected according to the needs of automotive control systems.
The BAT32A237 is an automotive-grade 32-bit general-purpose MCU based on Arm Cortex®-M0+ core with 48 MHz operating frequency, 128 KB Flash, 12 KB SRAM and 1.5 KB dedicated Data Flash, and built-in large-capacity storage to support the needs of efficient automotive computing. With an operating temperature of -40℃~125℃, it is suitable for complex operating conditions and harsh working environments. The BAT32A237 is compliant with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 automotive standard, achieving automotive-grade reliability and safety standards.
The BAT32A237 has various packages, including QFN40, LQFP32, LQFP48, and LQFP64. Based on its excellent performance, the BAT32A237 can cover a variety of automotive in-vehicle electronic control module applications, such as heating and cooling air conditioning, sensors, ambient light, reading light, steering control, matrix headlight, windows, radar, T-BOX, charging interface, in-vehicle inverter, water pump, and fan.
To provide development support for BAT32A237, Cmsemicon provides complete hardware and software development kits, application documentation, one-stop solutions, and on-site technical support services. It can also help designers achieve R&D innovation, shorten the system development cycle and achieve rapid product launch through the import of the AUTOSAR platform.
Cmsemicon has comprehensively laid out the automotive electronics market and steadily enriched its product types. Currently, the BAT32A237 chip is in full mass production, and the BAT32A239 and BAT32A279 will be launched in the third quarter of 2022. The ISO 26262 ASIL D process certification for automotive functional safety has also been launched simultaneously, and the highest level of certification for automotive-grade chips will be released soon.
