【选型】如何选用合适的气体放电管进行开关电源雷击浪涌的保护
机车在室外运行时,难免遇到雷雨天气,如果轨道交通设备用开关电源没有做好防雷措施或者防雷电路设计不合理,就有可能雷击造成电气设备的损坏,严重着起火烧毁重型设备。很多设计师在设计开关电源时,都会遇到雷击浪涌保护器件电路设计和选型的难题:怎么才能选用合适的电路和器件进行开关电源雷击浪涌的保护?
本文结合轨道交通开关电源的设计项目为例,选用压敏电阻结合气体放电管的防雷电路,进行开关电源输入侧的雷击浪涌保护。下面介绍项目中防雷电路的应用原理及气体放电管选型经验,希望对大家有所帮助。
轨道交通开关电源的设计项目按照铁路标准执行,因此必须满足两个试验:1)项目中防雷电路必须满足绝缘耐压试验,要求输入电压VIN对EARTH绝缘耐压不小于810VDC;2)项目中防雷电路满足浪涌脉冲群抗扰度试验,要求输入电压之间和EARTH之间满足PULSE 1500V的浪涌电压。

项目中防雷电路的原理图如图1所示,输入电源正负之间的浪涌靠亚敏电阻进行能量吸收,电源与大地EARTH之间的绝缘耐压810VDC和雷击浪涌PULSE 1500V靠亚敏电阻和气体放电管共同吸收能量,防止后面的电路损坏。因为陶瓷气体放电管的阻抗一般是GΩ级别,而压敏电阻的阻抗一般是MΩ级别,因此雷击来时,压降大部分压在陶瓷气体放电管上,因此选择气体放电管必须选择高压的。
根据项目中防雷电路的原理,开关电源的设计项目中选用气体放电管的基本条件为:直流放电电压满足绝缘耐压要求,大于810VDC;脉冲放电电压满足浪涌脉冲群抗扰度试验要求,脉冲电压大于100V;工作温度范围要广,必须在-25℃到85℃范围内正常工作;气体放电管的冲击耐受电流要大于2KA;封装尺寸不应过大,可焊接在PCB板上。

按照关电源的设计项目中选用气体放电管的基本要求,从气体放电管的参数中选用合适的产品型号:
1)直流放电电压
在上升陡度低于100V/s的电压作用下,放电管开始放电的平均电压值称为其直流放电电压。项目中电源输入电压VIN为24V系统,需要VIN对EARTH的绝缘耐压为810VDC,因此选择直流放电电压超过810VDC的气体放电管,选用LITTELFUSE的气体放电管GTCA28-102M-R03-2,直流放电电压为1000VDC ,符合项目设计要求,并富有裕量,可避免电压波动带来的风险。
2)冲击放电电压
在具有规定上升陡度的暂态电压脉冲作用下,放电管开始放电的电压值称为其冲击放电电压。项目中浪涌脉冲群抗扰度试验要求为PULSE 1500V电压,气体放电管GTCA28-102M-R03-2可耐受1700V的脉冲电压,符合要求用,并可以抗击部分浪涌损耗。

3)工频耐受电流
放电管通过工频电流5次,使管子的直流放电电压及绝缘电阻无明显变化的最大电流称为其工频耐受电流。项目中的供电电线感应工频电流较小,一般不大于5A,气体放电管GTCA28-102M-R03-2感应工频电流有效值为5A,可承受实际电路带来的放电电流。

4)冲击耐受电流
将放电管通过规定波形和规定次数的脉冲电流,使其直流放电电压和绝缘电阻不会发生明显变化的最大值电流峰值称为管子的冲击耐受电流。项目中浪涌脉冲群抗扰度试验按照标准在8/20μs浪涌波形下2KA同流10次试验,气体放电管GTCA28-102M-R03-2在8/20μs波形下通流10次的冲击耐受电流可达到3KA,可见在收到雷击时也能完全保护电路不受损坏。
轨道交通开关电源的设计项目中,在电源板输入选用的气体放电管GTCA28-102M-R03-2,在绝缘耐压试验和浪涌脉冲群抗扰度试验完全通过,在实际应用中也能起到雷击的瞬态保护作用,而且GTCA28-102M-R03-2封装简单,可在-40℃到90℃温度范围内稳定可靠工作,可作为电源雷击浪涌保护的不错选择。
